oak tree

wider than my arms can reach

roots anchored deep within earths core

and branches that soar like a bird in the wind

roots and wings

earth and sky 

the middle between the two

and one of it all

like the walls in a home

cored with moments, memories maturation 

of family

of this generation

and generations before.
